An excellent application won’t work on inadequate infrastructure. The quality of an information system depends as much on the robustness of the software as on the reliability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure on which it runs. IPTSAT designs and implements cloud architectures and technological infrastructures to support its own application solutions and its clients’ information systems, with an approach focused on operational continuity and long-term efficiency.
Whether it involves migrating a legacy system to the cloud, designing the infrastructure for a new platform, optimizing the performance of an existing system, or ensuring the security and resilience of a critical environment, IPTSAT provides specialized technical expertise and a comprehensive overview that spans from architectural design to operational management.
Cloud Architecture Design
Before configuring any environment, IPTSAT works with the client to define the most suitable architecture: on-premises, public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), private cloud, or a hybrid solution. The choice depends on security requirements, scalability needs, regulatory constraints, and the cost profile the client is willing to bear. There is no universally best architecture: there is only the one best suited to the specific context.
Cloud Environments and Deployment
IPTSAT configures and manages cloud environments for hosting web applications, GIS platforms, data services, and APIs. Activities include configuring virtual servers and containers (Docker, Kubernetes), managing load balancers and high-availability systems, setting up virtual private networks (VPNs), and automating deployment processes (CI/CD pipelines).
For public organizations with data residency requirements, IPTSAT has experience configuring environments on national cloud platforms and on the National Strategic Hub (PSN) infrastructure, in compliance with AgID regulations.
Database Management
Data is the heart of every information system. IPTSAT designs and manages relational databases (PostgreSQL with PostGIS extension for geographic data, Oracle, SQL Server) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch), with a focus on performance, scalability, and data integrity. Activities include data schema design, configuration of automatic replication and backups, query tuning, and access management.
Security and Resilience
Infrastructure security is a central focus in all IPTSAT projects. Architectures are designed with layered defenses: firewalls, strong authentication systems, encryption of data in transit and at rest, and continuous monitoring of access and system events. Backup and disaster recovery plans are defined and tested before go-live, not after the first incident.

IPTSAT designs and implements integration layers—middleware, API gateways, message queue systems—that enable heterogeneous systems to communicate reliably and securely, without creating rigid dependencies that hinder future evolution.
Monitoring and operational support
Infrastructure isn’t something you simply deliver and then forget about. IPTSAT offers monitoring and operational support services for the infrastructure we build, providing real-time visibility into system performance, proactive alerts, and rapid response in the event of critical issues. Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are contractually defined based on the criticality of the application.
