Remote Sensing

Remote sensing is a set of techniques of shooting, processing and interpretation of data, which uses electromagnetic energy as a carrier of information. Remote sensing uses photos or numerical data collected from aircraft, satellites and UAV drones, to characterize the surface of the earth in its parameters of interest.
The applications of satellite data are varied but all of great importance for the analysis, monitoring and management of land and environment. Especially if made from satellite platforms, remote sensing is a tremendous source of data at low cost, large retail and high repeatability.

The Iptsat has for years been engaged in the world of Remote Sensing
