Sardegna - Tortolì - Arbatax

IPT is the first private Italian company to have created a Multimission Satellite Station to receive data from high resolution satellites. The station is located on the eastern coast of Sardinia, in the Monte Maore area, 5km from Arbatax (NU). The station forms part of a larger technological structure known as the Centro Studi e Ricerche di Villagrande Strisaili ( Villagrande Strisaili Research and Study Centre).

The site is situated at 9° 36’ 51” longitude east and 40° 3’ 08” latitude north, 67 metres above sea-level. The Centro Studi e Ricerche di Villagrande Strisaili (Villagrande Strisaili Research and Study Centre) can operate round the clock seven days a week. Its operation is guaranteed by a local team of technicians and analysts who perform all the practical work quadri.

The Missions currently planned at the Centro Studi e Ricerche di Villagrande Strisaili (Villagrande Strisaili Research and Study Centry) are as follows:

EROS (high resolution panchromatic belonging to ImageSat International);

MODIS (multi-spectral at medium resolution belonging to NASA)

IPT Station FOOTPRINT

The first mission, managed by the IPT station, allows it the exclusive right to the acquisition of high resolution data (1.8m, 1m) obtained by EROS constellation satellites belonging to ImageSat International with whom IPT has stipulated an A.A.D. (Acquisition, Archiving & Distribution) agreement.

Experience gained to-date has given IPT the possibility of introducing itself to territorial operators with a set of tools and knowledge, unique in Italy, for the monitoring, management, optimization and the correct utilization of geographical and environmental resources.
